LINE Fukuoka and Yahoo Japan’s Customer Support Division Merge

Operations as a New Company (“LY Communications Corporation”) Began on October 1

LINE Fukuoka Corporation (“LINE Fukuoka” below) and the Yahoo Japan Corporation’s Customer Support Division (“Yahoo Japan’s CS Division” below) are pleased to announce that they have merged to create a new organization called “LY Communications Corporation” (“LY Communications” below), which launched operations on October 1, 2023.

LINE Fukuoka was established in November 2013 as the LINE Group’s second domestic base, and has grown together with LINE and its related services into a company that has a full toolbox capable of everything from service planning to post-release operations. Yahoo Japan’s CS Division has also contributed to the growth of Yahoo Japan’s services through system planning for Yahoo! JAPAN (Japan’s largest portal site) and customer as well as operational support for media and commerce services.

The organizations have merged and from October 1 began working together with LY Corporation¹ as LY Communications, a single company equipped with all of the capabilities to accomplish everything from service planning to post-release operation of LY Corporation services.
¹ On October 1, 2023, a total of five companies (including Z Holdings Corporation and two of its core wholly-owned subsidiaries, LINE Corporation and Yahoo Japan Corporation) were internally reorganized and merged to become a single company, “LY Corporation.”

LY Communications will continue challenging itself to become the “No. 1 Communications Company” by taking communication with all users to the next level, as well as providing safe and stable experiences that also deliver “WOW” and “!”.
